Raytheon Solipsys Introduces Web-Based Visualization and Collaboration Tool

TEWKSBURY, Mass., Sept. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire/ --  Raytheon Solipsys, a Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) subsidiary, has added a Web-based visualization and collaboration tool to its command and control software product line.

Built on the Tactical Display Framework (TDF), Raytheon Solipsys' flagship platform for tactical geospatial visualization, TDF Portal enables transmission of maps and tactical data that can be displayed in layers customized for an operation and seen by remote operators.

"Through an Internet connection and a standard Web browser, TDF Portal allows participants in different locations to see the same operational picture, providing common situational awareness across a broad theater," said Mark Trenor, president of Raytheon Solipsys.

TDF Portal can be used in wide-area surveillance, command and control, air traffic control, emergency response, disaster management, and distributed mission operations. Combined with Solipsys' Multi-Source Correlator Tracker, the Meridian geospatial imagery server and TDF-powered workstations, the TDF Portal provides unprecedented access and availability to key mission information in support of time-sensitive decision-making and is readily adaptable to a variety of host systems.
