Raytheon Names Ron Stefano Vice President of Mission Operations Solutions

DULLES, Va., April 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Ron Stefano has been named vice president of Mission Operations Solutions for Raytheon Company's (NYSE: RTN) Intelligence and Information Systems business, with headquarters in Garland, Texas.

Stefano joins Raytheon with responsibility for MOS program and financial performance, new business development and strategic planning. MOS provides integrated mission support and systems engineering for civil, intelligence and defense agencies in the U.S. and abroad. It has operations in Aurora, Colo.; Washington, D.C.; Pasadena, Calif.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; Huntsville, Ala.; Dayton, Ohio; the United Kingdom and Australia.

"He brings to MOS a strong understanding of the customer mission, which will help drive execution on major programs and guide strategy to expand the business."

For the past five years, Stefano led the Enterprise IT Solutions business area for Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Solutions. During that period, he delivered consistent profitability by developing new opportunities within the departments of Defense and Homeland Security and NASA, among others.

Stefano began his career in 1977 as a software engineer for the U.S. Air Force, then joined McDonnell Douglas in 1981 as a software systems engineer and has held positions with progressively more responsibility while managing several large IT services programs for Lockheed Martin. He graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Hawaii Pacific University.
