Kevin Brown Named to Lead Raytheon Cybersecurity Operations at Fort Meade Offices

DULLES, Va., Aug. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has named Kevin F. Brown vice president of Raytheon's Fort Meade operations and deputy of the Information Security Solutions product line.

Brown will lead business development and site operations at the company's Fort Meade, Md., offices, which provide support to the U.S. government in critical areas such as information operations and information assurance, as well as signals intelligence.

Brown comes to Raytheon from Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). He served SAIC since 1994, most recently as senior vice president in charge of the Cybersecurity Services and Solutions Operation, managing more than 600 technical personnel in several locations throughout the United States.

Prior to SAIC, Brown was an associate professor and lecturer at The George Washington University. While there, he developed and taught a system development curriculum for the Master of Science-Management Information Systems program, concentrating on systems analysis, design and implementation.

Brown's distinguished career includes service as a U.S. Navy officer, with assignments at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command's Information Systems Security Office; the National Security Agency as a system security engineer in the Information Systems Security Engineering Office; the United States Naval Academy as an instructor in Naval Science and Western Civilization; and aboard the USS LUCE (DDG-38) as a division officer in the Engineering Department.

Brown holds a Master of Science degree in management information systems from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science degree in history from the United States Naval Academy. He is also a certified information security manager.
