Black Enterprise featured its top 100 list in a September 2012 cover story following six months of research, according to the publication.

Each executive chosen holds a senior position at one of the top 1,000 publicly traded companies or at an international company grossing revenues of $1 billion or more. This is the fourth time the list has been generated since 1998.
