Raytheon-led Team Executing at Fast Pace on Warfighter FOCUS Program

RESTON, Va., Oct. 2, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- The Raytheon-led (NYSE: RTN) Warrior Training Alliance (WTA) has supported about 1.5 million exercises at more than 400 locations worldwide since the start of the Warfighter Field Operations Customer Support (FOCUS) program in May.

Training support has been provided to members of all U.S. services and some coalition partners. The WTA's work to integrate the U.S. Army's live, virtual and constructive training domains began on May 1, 2008, following a transition period. Raytheon was awarded the Warfighter FOCUS contract last year.

"We have also processed 1,500 task orders on the contract which demonstrates our ability to immediately meet the needs of our customers," said Mike Edwards, WTA and Raytheon Technical Services Company (RTSC) vice president.

To support the Warfighter FOCUS program, Raytheon has expanded its presence in Southern Arizona with the opening of an office at the U.S. Army Intelligence Center at Fort Huachuca, and has also opened the Warfighter Support Center -- the WTA's depot facility -- in Louisville, Kentucky.

Warfighter FOCUS is a U.S. Army program under the Program Executive Office for Training, Simulation and Instrumentation to consolidate operations and maintenance, systems integration and engineering support services for the Army's live, virtual and constructive training systems.
