Estonia defence minister and Raytheon International CEO discuss industry collaboration at roundtable
Raytheon announced as Estonian Defence Industry Association's newest international member
TALLINN, Estonia (Oct. 18, 2016) -- The Estonian Defence Industry Association recognized the Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) as its newest international member during an EDIA breakfast roundtable that featured the Estonian Minister of Defence Hannes Hanso and John Harris, CEO, Raytheon International, Inc., discussing the importance of transatlantic security cooperation and industry collaboration.
Minister Hanso welcomed Raytheon to EDIA: "Raytheon becoming a member of the EDIA is a milestone in industry collaboration and is a testament to the strong and enduring relationship between Estonia and the United States. I am positive this will lead to many success stories of advancing future technologies and capabilities for tomorrow's world."
"Today's roundtable discussion with Minister Hanso and Estonia's defense industry leaders speaks to dynamics that can grow and harness transatlantic partnerships," said Harris. "Raytheon's EDIA membership will allow us to further our global relationships in Estonia and explore new opportunities to collaborate with Estonian companies."
In 2015, Raytheon entered into an arrangement with the Estonian government to explore long-term collaboration opportunities in cybersecurity. This EDIA membership will further that exploration as Raytheon becomes the association's sixth international member.
