Raytheon Names John Balaguer to Lead RTSC Engineering and Production Support

    RESTON, Va., Nov. 15, 2004  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- John P. Balaguer has
been named general manager, Engineering and Production Support (EPS), by
Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC (RTSC).

    Balaguer today assumes responsibility for all aspects of program
execution, customer relationship management, continuous improvement and growth
in the EPS business unit. He will be located at RTSC's facility in
Indianapolis.

    Balaguer comes to RTSC from the Raytheon Company Evaluation Team (RCET)
where he worked with all of Raytheon's government and defense businesses.
Prior to joining the RCET, he was deputy director of operations and
engineering for Raytheon's Integrated Defense Systems business in Tewksbury,
Mass. Balaguer joined Raytheon in 1988 as an engineer and has since held
engineering, manufacturing, and program positions of increasing responsibility
and strategic significance. During this time, he has contributed to numerous
programs, including Patriot, AMRAAM (Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air
Missile,) Ground Based Radar, THAAD (Theater High-Altitude Area Defense) and
Aegis Radar.

    Balaguer holds bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees in materials
engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., and is a
graduate of the Raytheon Business Leadership Program.

    EPS provides comprehensive hardware, software and systems engineering
services, including reverse engineering, rapid prototyping, post production
spares and low-rate manufacturing. Major programs under his supervision
include V-22 software development and support; bomb racks and missile
launchers; weapon data links; EP-3E Program systems integration and software
development; Tactical Airborne Reconnaissance Pod System and Shared
Reconnaissance Pod programs; M-60 tank integrated fire control systems;
tactical weather systems; and F-14, F-15, F-18 Airborne Radar Depot programs.
