Raytheon, Entrada Combine Innovative Technologies to Improve Clinical Documentation

State-of-the-art speech-to-text technology and mobile productivity platform will streamline workflow, improve patient records' quality

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Feb. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Caregiver and practice efficiency for new clinical documentation will be maximized when Entrada's mobile productivity platform is integrated with Raytheon BBN Technologies' world class speech-to-text technology. This combination of clinical workflow, cloud-based mobile solutions and speech recognition expertise will streamline the documentation process, boosting quality and efficiency for both patients and caregivers.

Capturing the complete patient story within an electronic health record is challenging for many caregivers, compromising revenue, documentation quality and overall physician satisfaction. Entrada's cloud-based mobile platform provides ease-of-use, allowing caregivers to dictate patient narrative directly into electronic health record templates on an integrated mobile app. Entrada also enables caregivers to coordinate care around a particular patient via mobile secure messaging and quickly reference clinical data directly from the electronic health record.

Raytheon's speech-to-text technology brings even greater accuracy to automatically transcribed dictation, requiring less editing, which improves accuracy and accelerates turnaround time.

"Entrada continues to innovate to ensure its platform remains an essential lifeline for caregivers, boosting productivity, improving patient outcomes and shortening the revenue cycle," said Bill Brown, CEO of Entrada. "Working with an innovative speech recognition leader such as Raytheon further empowers caregivers to create more accurate and robust patient documentation in a shorter amount of time."

"Our technology leverages decades of world-class research in speech recognition and natural language processing," said Ed Campbell, president at Raytheon BBN Technologies. "As Entrada's results demonstrate, this expertise helps more efficiently produce accurate medical documentation."

Raytheon BBN Technologies is a wholly owned subsidiary of Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN).
