Raytheon releases 2016 Corporate Responsibility Report
WALTHAM, Mass., June 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company released its (NYSE: RTN) 2016 Corporate Responsibility Report, which details the company's efforts to address environmental impact, create stimulating career opportunities, and support the communities in which we live and work.
Highlights of the 2016 Corporate Responsibility Report include:
Sustainability – In 2016, Raytheon set 14 new sustainability goals for the company to achieve by 2020. This year yielded solid results in waste minimization, water and energy reduction, and travel/supplier greenhouse gas emissions reduction. In 2016, Raytheon received its tenth consecutive Energy Star Sustained Excellence award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Workforce Diversity – Raytheon's diverse workforce help us collaborate on innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers. In 2016, 95 percent of Raytheon leaders completed diversity and inclusion learning to support an environment where our people can contribute to their fullest potential.
Commitment to Community – Raytheon is focused on empowering today's veterans and military families through continuing education and inspiring tomorrow's professionals to develop and sustain an interest in science, technology, engineering and math. The company's five-year $10 million partnership commitment with Student Veterans of America and the Boys & Girls Club of America supports this initiative.
