Raytheon and the American Meteorological Society Name Fellowship Award Winners
Partnering to develop future science and engineering leaders
AURORA, Colo., Sept. 23, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) is pleased to announce that the American Meteorological Society (AMS) has selected Ryan R. Neely III and Bradley W. Bauer as the recipients of the AMS-Raytheon Company Graduate and Undergraduate Fellowships for 2008-2009.
Raytheon's fellowships are two of the 13 annual fellowships AMS awards to first-year graduate and undergraduate students across the country. The fellowships are designed to attract emerging scientists and engineers to careers in atmospheric, oceanic and hydrographic sciences.

Ryan Neely, who completed his bachelor's degree in physics last spring from North Carolina State University, is pursuing his doctorate degree in atmospheric science at the University of Colorado. He plans to study the use of light detection and ranging on polar clouds.

Bradley Bauer is a recent graduate of Central Columbia High School in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. He is now pursuing his bachelor's degree in meteorology at Pennsylvania State University.
