Raytheon Opens Warfighter Support Center in Louisville, Ky.
RESTON, Va., Oct. 3, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC (RTSC), a subsidiary of Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN), is opening a Warfighter Support Center depot repair facility in Louisville, Ky., to support the U.S. Army's Warfighter Field Operations Customer Support (FOCUS) program.
The 135,000-square-foot center will employ 75 people providing logistics, technical support, and depot maintenance services.
"The Warfighter Support Center will improve service to soldiers by increasing turnaround times for repairable items," said Mike Edwards, an RTSC vice president, and program manager of the Warrior Training Alliance (WTA) which facilitates execution of the Warfighter FOCUS contract. "The Center's overall goal is to get equipment back to warfighters faster so they can complete their valuable training operations."
The Warfighter FOCUS program is a U.S. Army program under the Program Executive Office for Training, Simulation and Instrumentation to consolidate operations and maintenance, systems integration and engineering support services for the Army's live, virtual and constructive training systems.
