WALTHAM, Mass., Dec. 4, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Raytheon Company has appointed Lynn A. Dugle president of Raytheon Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS), effective Jan. 1, 2009. Dugle succeeds Michael D. Keebaugh, IIS president since August 2002, who plans to retire from Raytheon on Dec. 31, 2008 after a distinguished career of 40 years in the industry.

Dugle brings significant experience in defense, networking technologies and international management to IIS' top leadership role. She was named vice president and deputy general manager of IIS and a Raytheon Company officer in June 2008.

Prior to her appointment to IIS, Dugle served as vice president, Engineering, Technology and Quality at Raytheon Network Centric Systems from April 2004 through June 2008, responsible for the function's strategic direction, leadership and operations.

Before joining Raytheon in April 2004, Dugle held executive positions at ADC Telecommunications including leadership of teams in its Europe and Asia-Pacific regions. She began her career in 1982 at Texas Instruments as a program engineer and rose to the position of vice president of Quality for TI's Defense Systems and Electronics Group. Her experience at TI included positions in manufacturing, operations, supply chain management, quality, financial analysis, strategic planning and productivity programs.

Dugle holds two degrees from Purdue University - a Bachelor of Science degree in technical management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. She earned a master's of business administration degree from the University of Texas at Dallas.

A member of the Raytheon Australia Board of Directors, Dugle currently serves on the Southern Methodist University Graduate Program Board of Knowledge. Her prior board positions include the Texans Credit Union, Collin County Red Cross, Collin County March of Dimes, the Dallas Metropolitan Area United Way, and board chairman of the Collin County Rape Crisis Center.

Keebaugh Retires After 40-Year Career

Raytheon also announces that Michael D. Keebaugh plans to retire as president of IIS effective Dec. 31, 2008.

Keebaugh was elected a company officer and named president of Raytheon IIS in August 2002. As IIS' leader he has spearheaded growth in international and domestic markets, led key initiatives within the company, and served as a strong customer focus advocate. He has also chaired Raytheon's enterprise-wide Program Leadership Council.

Keebaugh began his career at Raytheon in June 1996 as vice president and general manager of the Garland, Texas, operations. In February 1998, he was named vice president and general manager of the Imagery and Geospatial Systems business unit of Raytheon's Command, Control, Communications and Information Systems organization.

Before joining Raytheon Company, Keebaugh was general manager at HRB Systems where he was responsible for the management of division activities, and the acquisition of HRB by E-Systems in 1990. E-Systems later became part of Raytheon.

In 2005, Keebaugh was named an Outstanding Engineering Alumnus by Pennsylvania State University from which he received a bachelor's degree in mathematics in 1967 and a master's degree in computer science in 1971. His honors included membership in Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Eta Sigma, Pi Mu Epsilon and Upsilon Pi Epsilon.
