Raytheon Selected for U.S. Army Testing and Training Contract

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 18, 2009 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company received a multiple-award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity, or IDIQ, contract for the U.S. Army's second Omnibus Contract, known as STOC II.

The STOC II contract, managed by Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO-STRI), is a 10-year, multi-agency vehicle worth up to $17.5 billion that enhances the U.S. Army's training and testing capabilities. The award allows Raytheon to participate on a variety of delivery and task orders that will serve not only the needs of the U.S. Army but a myriad of other federal departments.

"Raytheon provides the Army with significant training support," said Jack Harrington vice president, Raytheon Network Centric Systems' Command and Control Systems. "This STOC II award provides our customers with increased access to additional diverse training and testing solutions."

Raytheon, a subcontractor on the current STOC I contract, will have a prime position to continue providing live, virtual and constructive interoperable solutions to support soldiers in theater today.

"This is a critical addition to Raytheon's IDIQ portfolio as a top five Army contractor," said Susan Haeseler, director, Raytheon IDIQ Service Center. "Managing STOC II in the IDIQ Service Center will allow our customers access to all Raytheon services and bring procurement speed and agility to our warfighter community."
