Raytheon to Demonstrate New Software to Improve P25 Network Performance

RALEIGH, N.C., March 18, 2009 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company will unveil its P25 Network Management Software (NMS), which enables first responders to monitor their P25net digital land mobile radio network for optimal system performance, during the International Wireless Communications Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center, March 18-20, 2009.

The software, incorporated into the company's P25net, will immediately notify radio system managers of network component failures, allowing them to quickly locate the source of system outages and dispatch key personnel to restore service.

"The P25net NMS provides our customers with control of their entire P25 network from a centralized location," said Bill Iannacci, director of Civil Communications Solutions for Raytheon Network Centric Systems. "Customers can remotely monitor the status of each site and effectively manage maintenance resources to ensure operational continuity."
