Raytheon NCS Engineering Recertified at CMMI Level 5

MCKINNEY, Texas, Aug. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) Network Centric Systems (NCS) Engineering has been recertified at Capability Maturity Model Integration® Level 5 across the $4.8 billion business.  

"Sustaining a CMMI Level 5 rating is not easy – especially across multiple disciplines and geographic sites," said Ralph Williams, lead appraiser, Cooliemon Inc. "This achievement speaks volumes about the dedication of senior management and the maturity of NCS programs and support functions."

CMMI is an industry-recognized standard for benchmarking process integration and improvement in engineering, quality, configuration management, and supplier selection management disciplines. CMMI Level 5 is the most mature rating.

NCS locations recognized in the appraisal included Marlborough, Mass.; Alexandria, Va.; Fort Wayne, Ind.; St. Petersburg, Fla.; McKinney, Texas; and Fullerton, Calif.
