Raytheon Is First Provider to Offer Accredited Qualifications in a Virtual Classroom Environment
Qualifications aim to optimize work force skills
MILTON KEYNES, England, Oct. 5, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Professional Services LLC (RPS), a subsidiary of Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN), is the first provider in the U.K. to launch accredited qualifications that are delivered via virtual classroom training and a collaborative learning approach.
All qualifications are accredited by the Institute of Leadership & Management, the U.K.'s premier awarding body for leadership and management qualifications. The Internet-based technology enables full interaction among students, trainers and peers and is designed to maximize the practical application of skills and knowledge back into the workplace.
Anita Douglas, RPS business development director, said: "The economic slowdown has led many organizations to reduce their training budgets. Innovative learning solutions are needed if we are to reduce time away from the workplace and improve skills. Our qualifications and innovative learning methods enable organizations to do more with fewer resources in a nondisruptive way."
RPS currently offers Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in a variety of courseware. Learn more about RPS' offerings at www.raytheon.co.uk/learning.
