WALTHAM, Mass., May 31, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN), a leading mission systems integrator, will focus on "Integrated Mission Solutions for a Net-Enabled World" at the 2005 Paris Air Show, which opens Monday, June 13.

At this year's show, Raytheon will bring together net-enabled technologies that underscore the Company's customer-focused strategy. Raytheon will offer a series of detailed press briefings demonstrating a variety of innovative programs:

On June 13 at 10:00 a.m., Raytheon representatives will host a press briefing on "Sharing Net-Centric Information with Coalition Forces." Senior leaders from Raytheon will introduce challenges presented by today's international operations and cover sharing intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data. They will discuss the power of horizontal integration, including the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS), known as DCGS 10.2 Multi-INT upgrade, and talk about current information sharing successes from airborne, sea-based and ground systems.

That same day the Paris Air Show Press Center will be the site for Raytheon's 12:45 p.m. press briefing titled "Interoperability in the Global Battlespace: Raytheon's Perspective." Company leaders will discuss solutions to the issues facing future warfighters and ways in which leaders, military commanders, warfighters and industry can work together creatively to plan for the future.

On June 14 at 8:00 a.m., Raytheon Aircraft Company (RAC) will be hosting a press breakfast at the Raytheon chalet where program leaders will provide an update on their next-generation trainer, the Beechcraft T-6. The Paris Air Show marks the completion of the aircraft's world tour and the RAC team will discuss customer feedback from the tour and share future plans for this evolutionary trainer aircraft. World-renowned aerobatic pilot Patty Wagstaff will perform during the show. Flying in T-6 primary trainer, which is serving in the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, NATO Flying Training in Canada and the Hellenic Air Force of Greece, Wagstaff will perform a routine that highlights the aircraft's handling qualities, versatility and safety in both high-speed and low-speed regimes. Wagstaff will also anticipate in the press briefing.

Following the Beechcraft T-6 breakfast, the Company will host a 10:00 a.m. briefing on "Raytheon's Directed Energy Solutions for Airport Protection." The briefing will highlight Raytheon's Vigilant Eagle airfield protection system, a land-based high power microwave system that protects aircraft from the threat of shoulder-fired missiles.

On June 15, at 10:00 a.m. in the Raytheon chalet, the Company will host a briefing on the "International SLAMRAAM Affordable Air Defense Program." The briefing will detail how the elements of SLAMRAAM can be integrated with existing air defense systems, providing the operator with an affordable integrated air defense solution to meet both operational and homeland security requirements.

At 10:30 a.m. on June 15, Raytheon Company, EADS and CASA will host a briefing on the Le Bourget tarmac adjacent to the C-295 Transport Aircraft. Executives from each company will speak about their Team FCA offering for the U.S. Army's Future Cargo Aircraft program. A highlight of the briefing will be the first hand experience of officers from the Polish Air Force, who will describe operation of the low risk "workhorse" they have used with coalition forces.

At 12:00 p.m., the U.S. Navy's F/A-18 Super Hornet Jet Fighter Team will host members of the press at the Boeing Media Center for a review and update on the Super Hornet. Representatives from Raytheon will participate in the briefing.

Throughout the air show, engineers from the Company will be providing demonstrations of the Common Tactical Blackboard, a warfighter interface prototype that enables battlespace awareness and optimal tasking. The demonstrations are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. each day.
