Raytheon awarded contract for Ship Self Defense System support
TEWKSBURY, Mass., Dec. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has been awarded a $41,585,979 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for fiscal 2014-2017 for continuing Platform Systems Engineering Agent support of the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) MK 2 to complete development of CVN/Amphibious Modernization Advanced Capability Build 12/Technical Insertion 12.
Fiscal 2014 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $13,500,000 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and Middletown, R.I., and is expected to be completed by September 2017. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
