TEWKSBURY, Mass., Nov. 21, 2005 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company's Cobra Judy Replacement (CJR) Mission Equipment Program has successfully completed its preliminary software closeout review.

The review provided a very successful, detailed in-process assessment of the CJR mission equipment software design and maintains the program's momentum toward the critical design review (CDR) planned for January 2006.

Raytheon's Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) is the prime contractor for the CJR Mission Equipment Program, which was awarded in 2003. CJR mission equipment is an integrated, surveillance and data collection radar suite to support U.S. treaty monitoring activities. Its dual-band radar suite consists of X-band and S-band phased array sensors and other related mission equipment. The S-band aperture is supplied by Northrop Grumman.

The CJR Program provides the strategic community, the Missile Defense Agency, and related communities with long-loiter foreign ballistic missile data collection capability.
