Raytheon Among Those Selected by U.S. Navy to Provide Nationwide Engineering And Product Support Services
RESTON, Va., June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has been selected by Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to provide engineering and product support services as a SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPorte) prime contractor in each of the U.S. Navy's seven geographic regions. With a ceiling value of more than $28 billion, this 15-year multiple award, indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract has a five- year base period and two five-year award term options, which would extend the period of performance through April 2019. The potential contract value to Raytheon is more than $100 million for the five-year base period ending April 2009. Under the contract, Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC (RTSC) will have the opportunity to provide engineering, technical, logistics and programmatic support services to NAVSEA, its 12 Product Area Directorates, and all naval surface and undersea warfare centers and laboratories. RTSC's program office will be in Portsmouth, R.I., with work performed around the country as determined by contract requirements.
