Retired Rear Admiral Robert C. "Willie" Williamson Joins Raytheon's Transformation Team
WASHINGTON, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Robert C. "Willie" Williamson has joined Raytheon Company's Network Centric Systems, McKinney, Texas, as director, Naval Integration and Transformation. He will be based in the company's Washington office. Williamson is responsible for coordinating naval transformation issues, specifically as they pertain to net-centric operations, as well as conveying mission-critical customer requirements and strategies to Raytheon's business units. Williamson was previously director of Government Relations and Federal Programs at Microsoft, responsible for sales, business development, and the capture/proposal process for public sector opportunities. He generated Microsoft's worldwide government strategy, developed the Executive Partner Engagement Strategy, and created a process-driven methodology focusing on key systems integrator relationships. Before joining Microsoft, Williamson served as military deputy assistant secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition and director, Office of Program Appraisal. He was the senior military advisor on the Secretary of the Navy staff. Williamson commanded the aircraft carrier, USS Nimitz, during Desert Storm, and his last operational assignment was Commander, Carrier Group Two, (John F. Kennedy Battle Group), deploying to the Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas in support of allied operations in Bosnia.
