TEWKSBURY, Mass., June 14, 2006 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) received a $10.5 million contract from the German company COMLOG to test and deliver an upgrade kit for Patriot missile facility test equipment.

"This upgrade provides an enhanced capability to test Patriot missiles to ensure the combat-tested missile continues to perform well into the future," said Rick Yuse, Raytheon IDS Integrated Air Defense vice president.

The contract calls for Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) to provide a kit to upgrade the existing Patriot Missile (PM) 460 test station at the site in Schrobenhausen, Germany, to the new PM 560 configuration. The PM 560 features upgrades to software and hardware to improve testing capability and to keep the test station supportable for the life of the Patriot program. Work will be performed at IDS' Integrated Air Defense Center, Andover, Mass.

COMLOG, a joint venture between Raytheon and the German company Lenkflugkorpersysteme GmbH (LFK), provides Patriot missile maintenance, repair and logistic services support on behalf of NAMSA (the NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency) located in Capellen, Luxembourg.
