Raytheon Awarded $16 Million for Weapon Systems Life Cycle Support
TEWKSBURY, Mass., Aug. 17, 2006 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has been awarded a $16 million contract from BAE Systems to provide engineering, technical management services and fleet support for currently deployed U.S. Navy weapons systems and solutions.
The contract continues the whole life services and support partnership between Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Division Keyport, which began in 1979.
Under the contract, IDS will provide NUWC Division Keyport integrated logistics support, in-service engineering services and technical support for U.S. Navy surface ship and submarine combat and weapon systems, including submarine sonar, weapon control, fires control, tactical support, training systems, integrated undersea warfare systems, targets, torpedoes and assigned surface and warfare systems.

The contract was awarded under the Naval Sea Systems Command SeaPort-e Multiple Award Contract vehicle and consists of the current base year award and four one-year exercisable options. Work will be performed at IDS' Torpedo and Readiness Center in Keyport, Wash.
