RTN) today announced the appointment of Gregory D. Smith, 38, as Vice
President, Investor Relations, reporting to Edward S Pliner, senior vice
president and CFO.

    Smith joins Raytheon after more than 18 years at the Boeing where he most
recently served as the controller of shared services.  At Boeing, Smith also
served as director, internal audit, director, leadership development programs,
chief of staff to the CFO.  He holds a bachelors degree in business
administration from Kennedy Western University.
