Raytheon Names Patricia Garcia Vice President of Contracts for Its Intelligence and Information Systems Business
GARLAND, Texas, Dec. 21, 2006 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has appointed Patricia Garcia to vice president of contracts for its Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS) business based in Garland, Texas.
With more than 23 years experience with Raytheon, Garcia joins IIS from Raytheon's Network Centric Systems business, where she previously served as director of Contracts. In her new role, Garcia will lead all contract activities associated with IIS and will serve as the senior leader in matters relating to contract operations, policy, and procedures. She will also provide guidance and direction within IIS on acquisition strategies and tactics.

Garcia has several years experience within government and commercial contracting with the last 19 years at Raytheon Company. She has managed U.S. and international contracts for development, production and services. In 1984, she went to work for the United States government at the Warner Robins Air Force Logistics Command Center in acquisitions. With the government she obtained extensive training in government procurement and acquisitions. In July 1987, she received a certificate of appointment as a contracting officer.
Garcia received a masters in business administration and a bachelor of business administration from the University of Georgia in 1987 and 1981, respectively, and has continued to complete an extensive learning curriculum directly related to acquisitions and leadership programs.
