ThalesRaytheonSystems Selected for Marine Corps CAC2S Phase II Demonstration Program

FULLERTON, Calif., Feb. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ThalesRaytheonSystems Co. LLC has been selected to demonstrate a prototype system for the U.S. Marine Corps. The prototype contract for the Common Aviation Command and Control System, or CAC2S, is valued at $5 million.

ThalesRaytheonSystems will demonstrate its proposed CAC2S system in approximately eight months at Camp Pendleton, Calif.

ThalesRaytheonSystems is a world leader in providing fixed and deployable air command and control systems to the world's defense forces, including those of NATO, the United States and France.  The company provides the U.S. Air Force with the Battle Control System (BCS), the command and control system for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).
